A Methow Story Accordion Art Book
This book was first made as a commission for the new Winthrop Public Library and the original stands on display there. I wanted to share this, my own ode to the Methow Valley in words and pictures, with a wider audience, so I teamed up with Paper Hammer Press in Tieton, WA and they made a limited edition of 100 handbound accordion books. Each book is a small work of art that can be stretched out for display or flipped through in the hands like a traditional book. The cover size is 7.5x 9.5 inches and the book reaches about 7’ wide when spread for display. They are a numbered and signed limited edition of 100. The artwork includes a variety of inspirations from the Valleys natural world, daily life, and history, made with my own watercolors, prints, paper cuts and more. A portion of each sale will be donated to further the efforts of the Friends of the Winthrop Library as they continue to support and encourage our community within the new space.
