upcoming shows, events, and publications…..

A Year Right Here book launch- March 20

Good friend and disgustingly talented  foodist and writer Jess Thomson (of A Boat, A Whale, A Walrus fame) will be launching her first personal book. A memoir of sorts, it contains essays on food and life and family as well as some little bits of pen and ink drawings by me.

Methow Valley Artists- through the Photographers Lens -July

I’m honored to be included in a photo study of local artists and how they work by Mary Lou Harris, showing at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp. Opening night is July 1st.

Weathering Book launch- July 15

Yep this one is mine. It’s an illustrated journal for grown-ups and youngsters alike to write down their days and dreams in. The theme is a blustery one with windswept seastacks  and lighthouses in cut paper and a liberal dose of pen and ink drawings as well. It is published by Sasquatch press and available wherever books are sold.

Shetland Islands Residency-September

Yippeeeee. I  get to spend a few weeks living and working at the Sumburgh Head lighthouse  in Scotland’s Shetland islands. More on my project in the months to come…

Riverside Studios exhibition  October/November

This fall I will be presenting the original images from the Weathering book alongside some  other selected works during my time as featured artist at the lovely Riverside Studios in Truckee, CA.

Check out Venue in Seattles’ Ballard neighborhood, Riverside Studios in Truckee, CA, and The Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA for original framed artwork and prints as well as rolled prints and greeting cards all year round. If you are in the Methow Valley, come visit my studio in Building 10 at Twispworks, in Twisp WA.
